About BTTRS

Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release System (BBTRS) is a holistic healing approach that integrates conscious connected breathing with various therapeutic modalities, including somatic movement, sound therapy, touch, and bodywork. BBTRS aims to release emotional and physical trauma stored in the body, rebalance the nervous system, and promote deep healing. By accessing the somatic wisdom inherent in the body-breath connection, individuals can transcend the confines of the mind and fully engage with their present moment experience.

BBTRS helps individuals release tension, relearn safety, and liberate themselves from limiting patterns and beliefs.

Breath

Through conscious connected breathing, BBTRS guides individuals to recalibrate their somatic breath connection. Emotional responses to breath can be immediate; holding onto restricted breathing patterns can lead to feelings of fear and resistance.

Tantrik philosophy highlights that the divine is as close as our next breath, reflecting the intimate relationship between the sacred and the everyday. According to the Vedas, Purusha, the cosmic spirit, moves through the currents of oneness via prana, the vital life force animating all existence. Vayu, the principle of wind or air, embodies life’s essential essence and connects us to the universe. Our breath becomes a sacred bridge, allowing us to engage with the profound interplay between our inner selves and the outer world. Through conscious breathing, we harness this energy to foster awareness, healing, and a deeper connection to the divine.

Our breath is continually intertwined with our life experiences and responds actively to our emotions. In moments of fear, we may hold our inhale; during depression, we might prolong our exhale; when anxious, our breaths can become short and erratic. The breath serves as a vital link between our bodies and emotional states, can hold fear, and contribute to dysregulation. Yet, it also offers a pathway for surrender and healing. By deliberately working with our breath, we can release stored emotions, restore equilibrium, and enhance our overall sense of well-being.

Deep, consciously connected breathing awakens the external respiratory organs and fosters collaboration with the internal respiratory systems, including the cellular body, improving oxygen exchange and revitalizing the body at a cellular level. This mindful breathing cultivates harmony among our body systems, enhancing overall health and vitality. By deepening our breath awareness, we nourish our physical being while facilitating emotional release and mental clarity, paving the way for a profound sense of interconnectedness.

Movement

The respiratory dance of somatic movement unfolds through the breath, initiating a dialogue within the body. Somatic movement, guided by internal prompts, prioritizes the body’s wisdom over mental processes, encouraging individuals to listen to their physical sensations and move instinctively to release tension, express emotions, and facilitate healing. By honoring the body’s experience, somatic movement nurtures a deeper connection with oneself, fostering an organic flow that supports emotional release and personal transformation. In this way, breath and movement become powerful tools for self-discovery and embodied expression, encompassing playful warm-ups, whole-body tremors, and undulating spinal waves—essential components of the transformative BBTRS experience.

Touch

While online sessions may limit traditional hands-on healing, they create opportunities for self-exploration and self-massage, allowing individuals to engage with their bodies in a nurturing and intimate manner.

Sound

The use of somatic sound tones activates the ventral vagal nerve, fostering deep embodied connections and promoting emotional release. Sound harmonizes body and mind, creating a space conducive to healing and integration.

Embodied Emotional Release

True healing occurs within the realm of lived experience—acknowledging what is presently alive within us. Traumatic memories, accumulated exhaustion, stress, and unprocessed emotions can create patterns of tension and "armoring" in the body. Engaging in somatic exploration through breath, movement, and mindful presence allows for the unwinding of these protective emotional layers. BBTRS (Breath, Body, Touch, Release, Somatic) encourages acknowledging our current experiences, inviting them to move through us for authentic expression.

BBTRS adopts a balanced approach, recognizing emotional releases while connecting those experiences to the body, facilitating trauma release and integration rather than merely reliving or becoming overwhelmed by it.

Stillness

The essence of Shiva represents unwavering stillness, reinforcing that all experiences arise and dissolve within this state of stillness. Cultivating true meditation and maintaining a presence of stillness are essential elements of our healing sessions, enabling deeper exploration and self-integration.

Exploring BBTRS

BBTRS is most effectively explored through a series of sessions. While one-time sessions can be impactful, engaging in 8-10 sessions is advisable for meaningful integration.

BBTRS delves into trauma's holding patterns, often referred to as emotional armoring. Alexander Lowen articulated the concept of somatic binding, where specific areas of the body develop armoring for protection. Early childhood trauma can particularly influence physical development, affecting muscles, fascia, bone structure, and cartilage. This can disrupt energetic flow, creating resistance, blockages, and potentially leading to chronic health conditions.

Wilhelm Reich’s work inspired the concept of the seven belts of tension, aligning with the energetics of the Western interpretation of the chakra system and body armoring.

BBTRS intentionally explores each belt of tension, consciously engaging with the armoring resulting from trauma and protection. This process unravels these patterns, enhancing bioenergetic flow and returning areas that have become disengaged back into conscious awareness.

Along with these online sessions you will also have daily regulation practices and receive a workbook offering support in day to day living. Tye is passionate in not only sharing deep healing somatic and energetic sessions but building awareness in her clients that they hold the potential to deeply connect to themselves and self soothe, recalibrate and harness confidence , autonomy and connection within themselves beyond the happenings of life.
