Explore the intricacies of the nervous system, polyvagal theory, trauma, childhood developmental trauma and holding patterns, self-soothing and regulation practices, biodynamic breathwork, myofascial release somatic practices, and trauma-informed touch.
Our bodies are a sea of experiences, often anchored to the past by stored trauma and stress. Mythic Release delves into the holding patterns of the nervous system and neuro pathways, fostering a loving inquiry into our learned survival mechanisms. We ask: could we be set free from hiding and into feeling? Is it time to explore what lies beneath the tightly anchored memories that have been silently dictating our lives? Is it time to learn coping mechanisms that empower rather than constrain us?
Tantrik non-dual awareness teaches that the only way through trauma is to go within. To begin feeling is to experience healing; no amount of reading or conversation can substitute for felt experience.
Mythic Release is a 100-hour module focused on trauma-informed space holding. We will journey into the nervous system, exploring the Central and Peripheral Nervous Systems, polyvagal theory, trauma and the brain, the fascial system and its capacity to hold trauma, and myofascial release touch (both self-directed and with others). Each topic will be approached through intellectual study, applied understanding, and, most importantly, personal somatic experience.
Key Topics:
• Trauma-informed approaches to yoga and healing
• Somatics and nervous system regulation, with a focus on the science of trauma
• Embodied movement anatomy, incorporating current movement research, the nervous system (including Polyvagal Theory), fascia, and body systems
• Non-dual Tantrik philosophy and mythology
• Practices such as somatics, Biodynamic Breath and Trauma Release System (BBTRS), Authentic Flow, Embodied Yin, Prana Vinyasa, myofascial release, and trauma-informed bodywork
• Advanced space-holding and facilitation techniques
• Mantra, vibrational sound healing, and resonance
